I'm tired
of all these needy people.
I've been sucked to a husk
of mean eyes and sharp tongue.
Gone is the skintight of my shadow.
It drags reluctant six steps behind.

How well I know this feeling... Your description cuts to the quick.
What a visual! Keep the faith .....
You have no idea how clearly I hear you! Husk 2 / (too!)
Aw. Me too, with less cause than almost anyone. I love the image of a loose shadow dragging reluctantly!
Ooo.
Ah, I can only repeat what everyone else has written!!! Amen, amen!!
brilliant ~
There is a Hopi word I learned on a pilgrimage many years ago, and I'd like to share it with you now. The word is "NO", which is Hopi for "NO".
Let's try it.
Can you drop everything and come see what the fuck *I* want? "NO".
See? I bet you feel better already.
PS--Don't confuse the Hopi word for "NO" with the Estrogenic word for "NO", which is "Sure!"
been there, done that, no more me. no more. brilliant you
