Someday,
I'm gonna read the right book
and self-help myself to bliss.
Someday,
I'm gonna look in the mirror
and my hair won't give me fits.
And, someday -
some way -
I'm gonna kiss you.

ha. what a racket self-help is...sorry, i dunno on the book
the hair,go with the mohawk...mine takes 30 seconds in the morning to stand up
and the kiss, well, that will be a great day now wont it..smiles.
Awww I loveee the last stanza!!
Haha! I love the last stanza as well. This piece is very simplistic, but filled with emotion and honesty. It does just what a poem is supposed to do. Well done, and thank you for sharing.
Ha! I hope all three aren't equally someday, that day, you know the one.
Love it!!!
Ha! Great! I've written before that I don't need a self-help book, I need a time machine.
Throw out the books and go straight for the kissing, I say. Best self-help there is, imo.
I adore this.
Excellent! Short and clever!
I love this, MZ. You already know more than the books, your hair is gorgeous....but the last obsession? yes, keep that one!
Your poetry makes me smile.
This poem is really enjoyable. It's short, sweet and rolls off the tongue. I really like the punch it packs at the end, too. Nicely done!
Love this! especially the ending!
kissing: what all poetry aspires to (except when it doesn't but of course this does) (and does so well)
This is brilliant, concise and I love it. My hair gives me fits too I have large fluffy hair that never looks tidy. I have abandoned hope let it be wild lol
The best of the bunch, MZ. The best of the bunch.
