My terrors
are familiar
as a black cat on my lap
kneading me,
needing me,
claws unsheathed - that
is a love
that fits me
like a black with buckle hat
calling
to coven
to cairn.

A witch's familiar being a frightful sight. Hmm, that is definitely something different. Usually a black cat is a boon to a witch, but I assume it could also mean a bad omen. Perhaps the witch was reading something from within their cauldron or crystal ball. Interesting poem on the theme of Halloween.
Love that final alliteration spell.
