Peppermint tea.
Stars through the branches.
A fire.
No dishes
in the sink.

Ah, sounds like the perfect ending for the day -- any day!! Hope your week is going well, MZ!! Enjoy!!
:-) xo
Perfection.
Such a peaceful, lovely moment in every detail.
Yes, perfect. Especially the "peepers meant," "star[e]s" through the branches, and the "fire" in August. I love the underbelly of passion in this.
Also, the "b[e] ra[u]nches" hidden in "branches" and the double meanings of "dishes" and "sink." Sinking into a relationship without anyone dishing about it. Maybe we're past that now. Also inside of "dishes" is "dis hes." The attack on the man is over; now all that's left is the sinking, good or bad.
A moment to live.. love the contrast between the down to earth of dishes and the stars... a peppermint tea moment.
It sounds perfect! Thank heaven for such moments of grace.
Simple pleasures are the best.
Sounds sweet. k.
So peaceful so tranquil :D
Perfect!
Ah, the title and the poem are a perfect fit. THIS. Time to brew a cup of tea, I think. Thanks! Amy
I want to put my feet up too now!
Sigh. Yes, indeed. I like this.
Just lovely !
Sigh..a moment of zen.
