Seeds sown
in the belly of a bird
bloom dark wings.
Songs sung
in the night's womb
are true.
Dreams done
with sleep
take to walking.
Walking
star to star
to get to you.

This is just beautiful, MZ. One of my favorites of yours. Really just lovely in all ways--very original thoughts, beautiful music, striking wonderful images. Thanks. k . Manicddaily
This is a poem to fill the heart - so, so good.
Beautiful, MZ, as always and this one I will put where I can read it every morning!
Love the inter-connected-ness of these disparate things and how you loop them together like ice skaters gracefully chained together. I hope you understand very inelegant metaphor.
Anyways, I loved this.
the last two lines sounds like my muse approaching on a dark night
luv the piece
have a creative month
much love...
Oh!! Love your closing!!
Star music. And such a very long walk, almost as long as the light takes getting here.
This is incredibly lovely! Wow!
Oh, this is gorgeous. Rhyme works so well for you here, connecting stars like dots.
This one's really special. (And here I am, insomniac - a rare thing for me - feeling that the lines, 'dreams done / with sleep' speak directly to me.)
Songs sung
in the night's womb
are true.
so lovely
Oh I love that second stanza, the whole notion of the dreams walking. Also, I love how the rhyme is in the last lines of each stanza.
Beautifully executed!
xoxo
Oh I really like this one!
Walking star to star...
Oh, I love that ending!
I love the idea of walking star to star-wondrous~
This sprouts tears of awe. It is so beautiful.
Jaysus this is fine. Round of applause from Cerridwen and high-fives from Tristan en route to Isolde.
damn I love this ~
