I gathered up my courage
and I didn't plan the next thing.
The next thing came along, of course,
as sure as the sky is blue.
Sometimes it's good to be of two minds;
a little left brain, a little right brain.
As long as you're of two minds,
you have a mind to lose.

way to plan ahead, double-down, and get a-head....because you know we can lose our minds quite often.
Yes, but you'll find it again when you aren't even looking.
Not a bad thing to have a backup mind so you can keep your mind on searching.
Oh, yes!! I definitely need two minds -- although I have to admit, I think I've lost both of them most of the time!!
or maybe a balancing act of deciding; a challenge
much love...
Perfect!
Ha! I'll remember this when I feel like I'm losing my mind.
It's all about balance!
brill, as my brit friends would say. that close ~
Two minds separated at birth in my case, and now at a loss to find even one of them. As always this is adroit and adept without ever being superficial--I like that you split things into only two--that really is often how we think, in opposites, or complements of either-or--and the dilemma of choosing always leaves something behind--maybe that's a good thing. thanks for playing, MZ, though this is rather your own sandbox. ;_)
Grand word play MZ! Of two minds offer lots of
choices.

Ha, So clever--I am a gemini and seem, as hedge says, to have misplaced both. But a super charming poem, MZ--wonderful about the next thing coming as it does. k.
Oh,that's a great two things...I feel like I'm operation with on half (a mind) most of the time.
Nice to know what's on both of your minds, Mama. The eternal dissonance between intellect & emotion produces kilos of conflict within me. As I age, I tend to weep too easily, bog down in the sea of sentimentality, letting emotion trump empirical data. Nice piece; makes me scratch my mind & chew gum at the same time.
I never thought of it in this way, but your poem is so on point... as long as there's indecision, the possibility of a decision (for good or for not so good) still exists...
Ah, good to have a spare!
This brought a sneaky, conspiratorial smile.
LOL! I lost my mind long, long ago! Another good one. xo
As pithy as aphorisms.
Creative people usually are of two minds! Brilliant!
Lately I think I'm losing both of mine.
I often find myself of two minds... and I'm also focused and organized one day and a completely different person the next. :P Love "as sure as the sky is blue". Clever poetry as always.
