by darklight;
in the albumen of an egg;
in crystal shatter silence;
without the company of conscience.

I don't believe a word of it. But now I know what "albumin" is!
How else is one to write poetry?
Great one for the day, MZ, as always!! I love it!
As a fellow worker by darklight. I can only nod and sympathize. the brevity underscores the meaning, as so often in your work.

"darklight" yes that secret cave of illumination where creativity is freed… wonderful poem mama z
I love the "crystal shatter silence".
So spare, yet crystal clear. The last line reminds me of what Elvis said once. Something like "God closes his eyes at night."
whoosh! okay, then.
without the company of conscience... the internal judge and critic can stifle one's best work!
Conscience.. over-rated pheew :-)
that crystal shatter silence can be quite the muse.
Without the company of conscience.
Wow.
so you conjure in the dark yet your aim is always true. not to mix a metaphor or anything ~
so few words Mama Zen but they say so much... you always pack the maximum in each line...
Props for using albumen in verse, and on a Monday no less! Viva la
Everyone should write out their creative spot (mental or physical) thus.
Beautiful

..
And it gives you great results!
and the same will happen to her as well for there is nothing for consistent than change...;
