The snow seems sad to be melting.
It's loose and limp as an old woman's skin,
and it's secrets
are a wet whisper
in the palm of my glove.
February is
an inconstant love -
uneven in its light.
But steadfast
is the suffocation sky.

The comparison to an old woman's skin is excellent, and then you kind of ease the reader into thoughts of snow and inconstancy, before that iron ending. Love it.
love the suffocating sky and the snow being loose and limp like an old woman's skin... wonderful image and a perfect february sketch
I like the descriptions of the sky and the sad limp snow. Well done.
suffocation sky....and wet whisper are my fav touches in this mz...the skin comparison carries and uncomfortableness with it...
Fully agree on the suffocation sky...
Yep, sounds like Portland today for sure!!! Well done indeed, as always!!
An inconstant love indeed!!
Powerful imagery! There is definitely something different about the February sky.
There is always something so unexpected in your poems that makes me catch my breath - this time it is the "suffocation sky". Wowzers, kiddo! Fantastic!
very much enjoyed your visuals... and February is an unwanted guest that must be endured and cannot leave soon enough.
"The month of inconstant love" and "suffocation sky"...can be written of winter and valentines in February!
Being an old woman, I winced at the simile comparing the snow to an old woman's loose, limp skin.
Yikes. Sad but true.
Great poem!
Hey, Just loved this... The first stanza particularly is pretty damn perfect and sang sweet and true in my soul, as I first read it - Lovely work... With Best Wishes Scott www.scotthastie.com
A very different February from ours in Australia. You paint it well.
that close... ~
a wet whisper in the palm of my glove...oh so lovely
Great description of February with its suffocating sky.
The images match the suffocating month o February, shortest in days and longest in duration.
'February is an unconstant Love' how right you are it is always the Greatest Manipulator
Suffocating! Perfectly rendered description of this month! Thanks for sharing!
Love the wet whisper and the suffocation sky.
An old woman's skin... This is an excellent image that confirms, again, how nature repeats a few patterns in so many ways. And giving the snow emotion? Clever!
