Dawn breaks warm and wet,
lapping and licking my face
with a drawbridge tongue.

A "drawbridge tongue." What a wonderful concept.
I love it -- and so does Sam Schnauzer!
errr....i dont like waking up to a lapping tongue...pull the drawbridge up...smiles..
An oddly beautiful image, face to face for morning greetings.
How cute. I used to let my dog Daisy get up on the bed and lick my face. My ex declared this "weird." Daisy outlasted the ex!
Wonderful. Great use of the word. k.
I can relate! Love 'draw bridge tongue.'
A lovely read. had some difficulty to adjust to this drawbridge tongue, it's so different from the meaning I know.
Chuckling... I often awaken to a similar drawbridge, but it's paved in gravel and says "Meow!" as it licks my nose.
nice like the last lines too
Unexpected take -- but carried out seamlessly!! Bravo! Look forward to reading here throughout the month. :)

haha...drawbridge tongue is wicked cool
this kinda turns me on. lol
I love this.. fun and different
well done!
Great image! Our (big) dog would come and just stare until we woke up. How did this work?
Dogs definitely live in the moment, and drag us with them--a good thing for both. Great way to start the day(drawbridge is an excellent image.)
This makes me smile!
I didn't write for this prompt ~ But your drawbridge tongue is a creative spin ~
Very original take on the prompt. I like it!
What a creative take on the prompt! Nothing like puppy kisses to start the day!
Hmm....i'll pass on that, mz.
