Turn me inside out
and all you'll find
is leftover whine
(I need more rest)
and a heart blood hope
that thrums my chest -
what's next
has got to be better.

There's always that hope that what's around the corner is better...
I hear and echo the weariness.......when will we ever get the rest we need? (Much farther along the path, I am still asking. Sorry to relate, the possibility seems remote. LOL.)
It may well be bitter. Uh, better. I meant to say better.
Hope sleep can come... there are cases when that's the only cure.
I love your hidden title: "Shhh --- all ow, under the skin." Your boo-boos aren't visible.
This poem conveys a sense of being shelled out and emptied of energy and resources... We can only hope that what comes next is always better..best wishes to you
Sigh.. this is so beautiful.. so profound. Love the tone here. We often feel striped of emotional energy and at times when hope seems lost, manage to rise up with the help of optimism and inner strength.
Lots of love,
Sanaa
Wish it weren't so for you or anyone really--also wish I didn't relate to this piece so well--really well done MZ
Joining you in hoping for the better
much love...
It must be. If not, I'm kicking someone. Hard.
There must always be hope that 'better' is around the corner!
Indeed...it is that hope that lets us get through what is.
hope is life....
May it be so!
Well you have 15 people (including me) all wishing you well now so I hope to read more cheerful words next time.
