Plant your poison daffodils
between Aries and the moon
where they have room to bloom
bright blades of beckon.
But, tulips only thrive
where nothing else can stay alive -
the dark corner of the mind
where wrongs are reckoned.

Loved this, especially the last stanza--maybe not for beginners--but for the old and jaded (like me!)

Oh, yes! I agree with Audrey! Couldn't say it better!! Love it!
I love the image of the mind as a garden spread around the property with room for all types of thought-feelings and places where nurturing works best.

Love your garden of a mind, and the proper placement of real and implied "plants." This looks for good weather as well as good mood. Loved it, Mama! Amy
I love the rhyme scheme and the message. It works!!
Happy Easter.

Love the rhyming...and am thinking about the dark corners of the mind. We all have them, I think.
As always, on the money, and a little bitter incantation only makes the spell stronger.
That's an interesting garden!
Straight between the eyes!
Wish tulips would grow in the dark corners of my garden, so I could get them out of my mind :-)
A dark tulip poem? If any one can do it, you can! Love it.
No wonder tulips are my favorite. Love the darkness in the flowers. :)

The cactus has been overlooked.
Those wrongs being reckoned... that is a corner I dare not investigate.
