I wanted love
and a little affection.
Baby, you took me
half of the way.
You gave me love
and a little infection.
Goes to show you don't listen
to half of what I say.

Bwahhhahahahaha.....how good is this. Funny and holy hell, so true to form. You nailed it. Still smiling.
Sounds like a social(media)disease.
You're killin me here.
Well, you've made my night! And just the laugh I needed! What a hoot! Enjoy your weekend, MZ!

Ha! Good one, kiddo!
This was hilarious!
Hahaha I was thinking half the way there is better than none of the way there but then I see the infection part in the second stanza, so perhaps half the way there isn't good. Love the twists you infuse your writing with, creating a completely unique voice. Great job. Thanks
That happens so often. Though, admittedly, people can be notoriously vague in what they say.
Brilliant capture of a hustler on an unsuspecting soul, MZ! Chuckle!

I am laffin my ass off here! Oh my goodness. And the last line just caps it. This is wickedly perfect.
Some words are so easily confused in the saying that the speaker hardly knows how far they've tripped ... love and affliction is like prayer and medication, the tooth inside the truth, or the fool's jape inside the wise guy's mouth. Like everyone else sd., you nailed it. Here's to more affectionate, less afflicted days ahead; that requires turning down the heat some, embracing the long simmer over the fast boil. - Brendan
Loved this! Almost made me choke on my coffee this morning, but the choke was worth it.
haha...nice...is this a size joke? smiles
Funny MZ~
Happy Saturday ~
*guffaw* and that is probably an understatement!
{giggles} - love your take on the prompt, MZ...
Too funny!!!
LMAO!!! This could be my new favorite Mondegreen!
This is wonderful. They never listen, do they? Not to half, not to most of what we say. LOL
