Rose petals litter the bed
like little red clichés,
but all I notice is the light -
peeking between the fingers that cover my sight
as you guide me forward with your hips;
shining from your eyes,
a shy pride and something sweeter;
silhouetting my hand catching yours reaching for the lamp.
"Let's leave it on."

Yeah, leave it on...
What a great line, and if it were you? I can understand why!!!
Loved your 55 MZ.
You are taking things these days to new heights
Thanks for playing and have a Kick Ass Week-End

Nice ending! Very romantic and sexy!
Bossy thing. ;-)
I'm all for that highest candle that lights the dark. Erotic, and also tender, you are never flashy but always full of light when you write on this subject.
I believe the term is "smokin'"...all fired up for Friday I see ;) Have a good weekend!
Sizzlin' hot, MZ!
A touching piece... in more ways than one. Love the opening...

"like little red clichés...'' love that line.
I love it!
Love the rose petals as little red cliches. Some cliches are too good not keep around :)
Beautifully written, MZ.
Awesome, MZ.
I love the new blog, Mama Zen, and I think you misnamed it - with you it would never and could never be just another poetry blog as this awesome (and hot!) 55 proves!
oohhh...I can almost hear that husky whisper..."let's leave it on"... fine 55 ~
